Karl was stunned.
For a moment, he still could not figure it out.
He had never contemplated such questions before.
“So… what should we do next, Mr. Hayes?”
“Continue the investigation!”
Shrouded in the darkness, the man exuded a cold aura as a sharp glint flashed across his eyes.
Karl immediately disappeared.
This time, his target was the military camp where Shin was in back then.
At the same time, Frieda, who was asleep in a room beside the courtyard, suddenly felt something. She opened her eyes abruptly and glanced at the window on her right.
“Shin!” she exclaimed in delight.
Since someone was looking after the house, Sasha went to work.
“Good morning, Ms. Wand.”
“Good morning.”
Sasha, who arrived at the office early in the morning, was welcomed by warm greetings from the other staff. Amongst them were some who had initially cast doubts on her abilities.
Smiling, Sasha nodded at them and headed to her office.
“Ms. Wand, I heard that there’s an abandoned building in Summerbank that’s going to be auctioned. Are you interested in it?” A department manager called Gregg went to her excitedly.
“An abandoned building?” Sasha, who had just sat down, glanced at him and asked.
Jamie, the assistant who came with Gregg, immediately passed her the documents related to the abandoned building.
“Ms. Wand, it’s a project started by a real estate company in Summerbank. They wanted to build a hotel, but something happened to them. Hence, the government decided to auction the building. Please take a look at this! I’ve already collected some data on its surroundings.”
Jamie was quite capable. The report she had written was extremely detailed.
After flipping through it, Sasha said, “Not bad. Instead of our company managing it ourselves, we can consider renovating it and turning it into a luxurious department store. Then, we can attract vendors to join us.”
Gregg was surprised.
Wow! What a smart woman!
With that, he left happily to carry out her instructions.
Jamie was about to leave with him when Sasha suddenly called out to her.
“Jamie, how are you doing in this company? Have you gotten used to the pace?”
“I’m fine, Ms. Wand. I think that I can learn a lot of things here. Thank you for allowing me to stay!” A look of gratitude crossed Jamie’s face.
Sasha smiled.
She thought highly of that girl too. Jamie was meticulous and talented in finance. After some training and time, she would definitely be very accomplished.
Sasha took two bottles of expensive tonic out from her drawer.
“These are for you! You’ve lost weight recently. Are you too stressed? Remember to relax and not tire yourself out too much.”
“Huh?” Jamie could immediately tell that those tonic were extremely expensive. A look of pleasant surprise appeared on her face.
“No… I can’t accept them!”
“It’s fine. Since I won’t drink it anymore, it’ll be wasted on me. You should take them instead!” replied Sasha casually.
It was true that she rarely drank it. Sebastian bought a lot for her after her legs recovered, saying that she needed more nutrients.
Although she did drink them at the start, she could walk freely now; so she could not be bothered to have them anymore.
Jamie left gratefully with the two bottles of tonic.
However, what Sasha did not know was that after Jamie left, she entered the washroom, poured them down the toilet and flushed them away. The expression on her face was icy cold.
Although they had to serve the same man in the future, Sasha would always be her enemy. Hence, she would never accept her favor.
Jamie stayed in the toilet and turned her phone on.
Akiko: Mrs. Tsurka, I’ve already won Sasha’s favor. She’s starting to think highly of me now.
Yancy: Very well. The Sinch Enterprise’s case is going to court soon. Mr. Solomon will go there personally and you can meet him then.
As a reward to Jamie, Yancy gave her a huge benefit.
Hence, she was overjoyed.
Mr. Solomon is coming? This is great! I can finally meet him. God knows how much I miss him during this time!
Jamie decided to repay Yancy with a greater surprise.
Sasha was still working in her office, oblivious to what was going on. When she went to have lunch at noon, she suddenly overheard a discussion in the president’s office.
“No way! Solomon even dares to defend himself?”
“Yeah! How shameless can he get? Although he’s part of the Hayes family, he dares to sabotage his own father. Isn’t he scared that he’ll be cursed by everyone?”

Standing at the entrance of the office, Sasha was stunned for a few seconds.

“Madam, why are you standing here? Are you looking for Mr. Hayes? He’s inside.”
The employees in the president’s office finally saw her. Immediately ended their discussion, they greeted her in a flustered manner.
