Fortunately, Jonathan’s bodyguards were nearby. In a few seconds, they swiftly came inside. Upon seeing that scene, one of the bodyguards rushed over and struck Sebastian’s neck.
With that, Sebastian collapsed to the floor.
Only then did everyone let out a sigh of relief. Jonathan had been in countless battles, and it was the first time he almost got killed. After gaining back his senses, he was beyond exasperated and wanted to kill Sebastian.
But in the end, he chose to suppress his rage.
A while later, Sasha sent Sebastian to rest downstairs. After that, she went to the study room to find Jonothan.
“Old Mr. Jadeson, you shouldn’t mention the kids in front of him now.”
“Why not?”
Jonathan was still utterly enraged. “Why can’t I mention it? They’re my great-grandchildren. I must find them, and he needs to face this.”
“Yes, I know. But you have to understand why he hides the kids. Even though he managed to survive during his battle with Charles, everyone else around him ended up dead. He watched the mother of his kids die. As you keep mentioning about the kids, you’re reminding him of those who are already dead.”
Sasha had also lost her calm as she sounded utterly pissed.
He’s crossed the line! When Sebastian heard about the kids just now, I’m sure it made him recall all those brutal moments. What use would that bring except triggering his hatred?
With that in mind, Sasha even felt an urge to kill Jonathan, as she had put in tremendous effort and was finally able to make Sebastian recover by a little.
Fortunately, Jonathan kept his silence upon hearing Sasha’s harsh words. As such, Sasha went back to the third floor.
Around three in the afternoon, Sebastian was finally awake. Upon seeing that, Sasha wanted to pour him a glass of water. But he lay in the bed and stared at the ceiling for a long while.
All of the sudden, he opened his mouth. “Where’s Calvin?”
“What?” Sasha was stunned momentarily. “Calvin? I heard that he got locked up by Old Mr. Jadeson… Why do you think of him suddenly?”
“I want to meet him. Please bring him here.”
He spat out another abrupt sentence.
Sasha froze on the spot.
She thought he would not remember anything and go back to his previous phase after waking up. Not to mention, she had a chat with the professor from Jetroina while Sebastian was asleep.
The professor said that the worst case was for those signs of recovery to go backward.
With that, she had prepared her mind for the worst.
Yet, she did not expect the first thing he did after waking up was to find Calvin.
He still remembers!
Lit up with delight, Sasha immediately put down the glass in her hand and rushed out with excitement.
“Please arrange for Calvin to come here. Mr. Hayes wants to meet him.”
The news spread throughout the entire Oceanic Estate in a blink of an eye. It even came to Jonathan’s ear.
Hence, when Calvin got brought up, Jonathan came too and listened secretly outside.
Meanwhile, Sasha stayed inside as she feared conflicts between those two men. To her relief, Sebastian did not cast her out.
“Calvin?”
When Calvin walked in, Sebastian was sitting in his wheelchair.
As a matter of fact, they felt like strangers to each other.
It was the same case when Karl met him, as the personality remembered their names. In his mind, it was utter blank except for the fact that he needed to avenge them.
Nonetheless, when Calvin heard that voice, his eyes flashed with emotions.
Sasha kept quiet.
“I thought you were dead. So I stayed here to avenge you, Karl, Shawn… and Sasha. I did not forget about you all. But now that I know you’re alive. I’m glad.”
Sebastian choked on his words when he mentioned Sasha as though it was a wound too painful to remember.
Upon hearing that, warmth flushed up Sasha’s heart as she turned around, secretly wiping off her tears.
Thank God he’s in a good condition.
Even after experiencing such a huge impact, he could still remember everything. He even kept the emotions when mentioning Sasha.
With that, Sasha was utterly grateful.
Eventually, Calvin got moved as well.
His case was, in fact, much more complicated, and no one was able to figure out why. How could a man suddenly become like this? What happened? Did he go through physical torture? Or is he faking it?
Sasha could not wrap her head around it either.
Until now, she noticed Calvin finally lifted his eyes upon hearing what Sebastian said.
That was a pair of attractive eyes that could melt anyone’s heart.
He did not say anything for a long while.
However, Sasha and Sebastian could see tears start brimming in his eyes.
Sasha was rendered speechless.
All of a sudden, Sebastian suddenly shouted, “Hurry! Grab his mouth quickly! Don’t let him bite himself!”
At that instance, Sasha stared at Calvin in astonishment.
Gaining back her senses, she rushed to grab his chin, but it was too late.
Calvin made a forceful bite, and black blood flowed out from his mouth instantly.
“Calvin!”
