“Huh?”
Sasha was stunned.
Did he think that Calvin’s dead?
However, that was the only thing he said. After that, he left with Vivian calmly.
When Sasha saw that, she paused for a while before returning to her senses and chasing after him.
“Wait for me, Mr. Hayes! What do you think about it? The three of them are in Old Mr. Jadeson’s clutches now. Are you going to save them?”
She heard no response from Sebastian, who merely strode forward quickly.
All she could do was to follow him.
They arrived at Oceanic Estate an hour later.
“You’re back, Mr. Sebastian.”
“You’re back too, Dr. West.”
“Even Vivi’s back!”
It was all very strange. After they returned, Sasha noticed that Oceanic Estate seemed very peaceful. The housemaids were greeting them enthusiastically as well, as if nothing had happened.
Why is it like this? Where are Sabrina and the rest?
Unable to hold herself back, she stopped a housemaid when Sebastian was not looking and asked, “Mary, where’s Old Mr. Jadeson?”
“In his study. Why?”
“Where’s Ms. Sabrina? Where did she go?” Surprised, Sasha could not help but ask about Sabrina.
Unexpectedly, the housemaid told her that Sabrina was fine and was in her bedroom on the second floor.
As for Karl and Calvin, she had no clue where they were.
Sasha followed after Sebastian briskly. However, as she walked, she was surprised to find out that he was heading to Jonathan’s study directly.
After arriving there, he kicked the door open.
Both Sasha and Jonathan were dumbfounded.
“Why did you capture them? Are you investigating something about me again?” Sebastian barged in and glared at Jonathan coldly without any greetings or preambles.
He dragged a chair over and sat there with his legs crossed.
Looking at his demeanor, it was as if he was the head of the house, not Jonathan.
Naturally, Jonathan was furious.
However, he forced himself to keep his cool. Instead of beating around the bush, he admitted directly, “Your children. I’m investigating your children.”
“My children?”
Sebastian froze.
Jonathan nodded. “Yes, you have three children. However, before you got into that accident, you sent them to a top-secret location. Since you’ve lost your memory now, all I can hope for is to find the people who used to work for you. The man I captured today is Calvin, a top killer who used to work for you.”
He explained calmly so as not to anger Sebastian.
Standing at the side, Sasha noticed how Sebastian’s eyes widened when he saw that two photographs on Jonathan’s phone.
The two children’s handsome faces looked just like his.
Part of his memories came flooding back to him. It was as if he could hear the words ringing in his ears, “Daddy, you’ll definitely pick us up, right?”
“Daddy, will Mommy come when you come too?”
“Daddy, after Mommy’s back, let’s live here together, okay?”
“Okay…”
He fell into deep thought. The glimmer of hope he had glimpsed earlier was now replaced by utter darkness. Within a short moment, that bloody scene surfaced in his mind again.
“Live on! You must live on, for me and our children’s sake!”
It was a pair of bloody hands. He was grabbing onto her tightly, but she forcefully pried each of his fingers away.
Oh, right. I have my children. Their mother sacrificed her life so that I can take good care of them.
His vision started to blur. Grief engulfed him as he shuddered uncontrollably, his heart aching like something sharp was stabbing his heart repeatedly. Within a second, his eyes became bloodshot and he could not see anything.
“Mr. Hayes! Mr. Hayes!”
When Sasha noticed that, she called out to him loudly and wanted to stop him.
Noticing something amiss, Jonathan quickly stood up to help.
However, Sebastian, who had lost control of himself, suddenly charged forward. He leaped over the tall desk, rushed forward, and wrapped his fingers around Jonathan’s neck forcefully.
“I’ll kill you!” spat Sebastian fiercely, articulating every single word.
Jonathan did not expect this to happen at all. Having caught off guard, he did not have time to resist. Sebastian flung him onto the chair, still choking him.
“Someone! Please come in now!”
Sasha panicked as she saw the scene unfold. All she could do was to yell out loud for help.
