“Who is she? How did she become the woman of someone so illustrious?”
“Exactly? What makes her so special? She looks ordinary to me. Perhaps, she knows witchcraft?”
“That must be it. Or else, why would Sebastian leave Hayes Corporation all of a sudden? Given how young and talented he is, it’s really strange for him to resign from such a high position.”
Within a few short minutes, the crowd was filled with animosity toward Sasha.
They suspected that she had used some kind of sorcery to manipulate him into her grasp.
As a result, Sasha was infuriated by their snide comments.
However, Roxanne gloated over her predicament.
She hurried over to the boss’ side. “That’s right. I’m surprised that you know Sabrina.”
“Of course, she is the lady of the Hayes family.”
The boss nodded with a smile, unaware of Roxanne’s purpose for saying it.
Roxanne’s grin widened in response.
She was now a different person. The Roxanne of old never liked wearing dresses. Instead, she would wear casual clothing that made it easier for her to conduct research in her lab.
But now, she liked to dress flamboyantly, just like how Xandra used to be.
“That’s wonderful. Please show my sister-in-law the ring.”
“Sister-in-law?”
“Yes, she’s the one.” Roxanne pointed toward Sasha.
“She is Sebastian’s wife. I’m sure you know who he is. But, they have yet to hold a wedding ceremony. If she happens to like the diamond ring, you might be able to secure a new customer.”
Smiling vibrantly, Roxanne pretended to introduce a business opportunity to the boss.
The crowd, together with the boss, were elated.
After all, everyone in the city, young and old, knew Sebastian Hayes.
Sebastian was the pride of the city. Whenever his name was mentioned, it would command respect.
Is that woman really his wife?
Why didn’t they hold a wedding?
Given that he was the illustrious president of Hayes Corporation, why did he choose not to? Even though he has now left the company, he is still a member of the Hayes family. Therefore, it would be irresponsible for him to act so casually.

Despite it being a symbol of everlasting love and a token of his love for her, she never received one. The wedding ring she wore back then was bought by Frederick instead.
Consequently, her fingers gradually clenched.
Despite being reluctant to admit it, her heart felt a sting over something she had not given much thought to.
Little by little, the pain gradually grew.
“Are you sad because he has never presented you with a ring before? Let me tell you. I have received two from him. The first one was when he planned to marry me when he was twenty-two, while the second one was last year when we got engaged. He personally chose that one for me. Sasha, do you even have any?”
At the crucial moment, Roxanne step forward and whispered those words into Sasha’s ear, as if she was the devil himself.
Sasha swooned in response.
He gave her a ring at twenty-two.
During that time, I was still foolishly writing to him while he was overseas.
As a suffocating sensation began to swell from the depths of her heart, her face had lost all color.
“Roxanne, what are you doing? Stay away from us!”
Having regained her senses, Sabrina lunged forward and pushed Roxanne away.

Sasha trembled violently.
However, there was nothing she could retort against what Roxanne had said.
After all, the fact was she didn’t have a ring.
