Chapter 1734 Under The Sun
That was exactly what Matteo did.
He rushed in and blew up the entire underground space that Daphne had built back then.
After that, he followed the secret passage until he arrived at the royal residence and caught both Elizabeth and Colton by surprise.
That was the final truth. It was also the best move in Eddie’s entire plan!
Colton was the only male heir of Jared Jadesons at the Ataraxy.
He was already discovered in the same year when Isaac died. However, he was not Jared’s biological son.
After Janice passed away, the truth of Isaac’s identity came to light. He turned out to be the son of Alfred and Felicity. Eddie pulled a switcheroo, and that was how Isaac ended up in the Sheerwood family.
When Isaac was born, Alfred was thrilled to have a son, but he was also afraid that the Heard family might find out. Therefore, during Felicity’s confinement period, he took the child away and gave his son to Jared’s wife who had also just given birth.
Unfortunately, shortly after he sent his son there, Eddie switched the boy and took to the Sheerwood family.
Thereafter, Eddie sent his own son to the Jadesons. Sadly, Jared’s real son had been killed by Eddie a long time ago.

Seeing the true color of that person, Matteo started trembling in anger. If his daddy did not need him for questioning, Matteo would have beaten him to a pulp right there and then.
“You are the son of that old b*stard, Eddie? The Jadesons have taken care of you for so many years, and you turned out to be such a vicious person!” Matteo yelled.
Colton stood up and smiled softly at him as usual. “Matteo, there are many things in life that are out of our control.”
“What are you talking about?”
“Nothing. I just want to let you know that I have been very happy during the past few decades that I have spent with the Jadesons. Back then, I wasn’t interested in fighting for anything. I would rather lead a normal and honest life with my wife and children. I wanted to live like a normal person.”
Matteo was speechless.
He was filled with so much anger.
At the same time, he recalled the scene at Oceanic Estate. Every time when Colton saw them, he would give them sweets.
Back then, Colton was the youngest in the second generation of the Jadesons, and he was not much older than Sebastian.
As for his two children, their ages were close to that of Matteo and his siblings.
That was why he liked them very much.
At the thought of that, Matteo was not as enraged as before.
When Colton saw that, he took out a bottle.
“Take this and save your sister. It’s the antidote for the snake venom. Don’t worry. I will be here.”
Matteo clenched his fists so hard that they made a cracking sound.
In the end, he still took the antidote over and rushed back to Vivian.
Half an hour later after taking the antidote, Vivian did not look as pale as before. When Kurt saw that, he perked up too.
“Vivi?” he called out softly.
There was no movement from her, but her breathing had stabilized.
When everyone saw that, they heaved sighs of relief. Just as Matteo and Ian were about to go to the basement of the king, one of the SteelFort’s members wriggled his way out of the secret passageway.
“Bad news! Mr. Matteo, Colton has been killed by Elizabeth!”
“What did you say?”
Matteo’s expression changed drastically.
“I thought all of you were guarding him? How did he get killed by that woman?”
“Mr. Matteo, there’s a trap in the secret room. Elizabeth activated it when she wanted to take him and escape. But, Colton refused. By the time we dodged the trap, she has already killed him.”
There was blood on the face of that member and also a wound that was at least ten centimeters long on his shoulder.
What an evil b*tch!
Both Ian and Matteo finally understood and rushed into the secret passageway immediately.
After they left, they did not realize that Kurt, who had calmed down considerably, opened his eyes in shock when he heard the news.
His murderous intent appeared once again!
Ten minutes later when Matteo and his brother arrived at the secret room, they saw Colton lying on the ground with a very sharp needle right in his heart.
“I’ll go after her!”
Matteo was so mad that his eyes had turned bloodshot. He was about to take his men and rushed into the secret passageway.
Just then, Colton, who had yet to die, called out to him weakly.
“Matteo, you go… to the Cinnabar Harbor. She… she will escape from there…”
“Ian, give this to your daddy. These are what’s left of the Limmer family including those students at the training base. Ian, I know Duncan’s death has upset you very much. But, please don’t blame yourself. I’m the one who did it. It has nothing to do with you. Understand?”
Before he passed on, he did not forget to resolve the enormous load of guilt in Ian.
Ian stood there rooted for a long time. He loomed over Colton for ages and said nothing.
Suddenly, Colton took out a family photo with trembling hands. As his eyes fell on the two children who were standing at the entrance of a famous institute, a smile finally appeared on his face.
Moments later, his hands gradually lowered to the ground.
Nobody liked the darkness, especially those who had always been living under the bright sunshine.
