“You’re so lucky to have two brothers. I’m the only child in my family. By the way, what about Kurt? Is he your brother too?”
Vivian did not know how to respond to that question.
She remembered the last time she mentioned that Kurt was her brother, the latter seemed unhappy about it, and he kept correcting her.
It seems like he doesn’t want to be my brother.
Vivian let out a sigh. “No, he is a brilliant kid whom my great-grandpa brought home. However, I always treat him like a brother.”
She couldn’t help but emphasize that because there was nothing more important than family in her heart.
Slowly, their voices became softer, and Vivian eventually dozed off.
The moment Lucy closed her eyes, she recalled when she got hit by the wave and how Kurt had saved her.
At the thought of her leaning in Kurt’s embrace, her face reddened.

After receiving the good news, Jonathan went to Ian’s room and knocked on his door early in the morning. “Ian, your daddy seems to be recovering. But your mommy is exhausted as she has been treating him these two days. Could you go up the mountain to help her out?”
This time, he made sure to follow Grayson’s instructions perfectly.
As soon as his words fell, the door that was shut for almost a week was finally opened.
“Really?” Ian finally emerged and asked in a hoarse voice.
Jonathan’s eyes started beaming with tears after seeing Ian.
“Yes, it’s real. Your mommy called this morning. The black stones need to be ground into powder and wrapped in special herbs. Then, they were placed on your daddy’s acupoints. According to what I heard, your mommy is exhausted, and she has a fever. I wanted to ask Matteo and Vivian to go there. Jonathan had to emphasize how the three kids were suffering, so he could persuade Ian to go.
