Chapter 1507 Unreasonably Attractive
Tillie did not dare to move, but she noticed everyone staring at her with totally different expressions compared to the day before.
She knew there was a drastic change in her face.
With that, she clenched her fists even tighter.
“Do you like it? Isn’t that much prettier?”
Seeing her not saying anything, Sabrina found a mirror for her to look at herself.
Sabrina was always naive like this. She would not know if her behavior would offend people around her.
Of course, if it were other people, they would not feel offended. Not to mention, almost the Jadesons that were present had experienced her service in makeup.
None of them took it the wrong way. Instead, they were all delighted for being able to become prettier.
However, Tillie felt differently.
Throughout the night, as she was sitting at the cashier, she noticed many people staring at her as they walked by. Feeling uneasy, she even made a few mistakes while inserting the numbers.
Indeed, beauty is an asset.
When Sabrina reached home, she received a text from Devin, who was in Moranta. Are you back? Why did you go to the bar again? Your condition is not stable now. Please don’t go walking about!
The first thought that came across her was that someone from the bar had snitched on her.
Sabrina: I’m fine. I didn’t do anything much. Sasha was not around, so I went and sat there in case anything happened. After all, we can’t count on Colton.
She naturally shifted the blame on Colton.
Devin did not know how to react as he saw her reply.
There was nothing he could do except to remind her to be careful.
Sabrina: I got it. By the way, Darling, I saw Edmund’s wife today. Now I know why he was unwilling to marry her.
Devin: Why?
Sabrina: Her look is below average. I’ve seen his women back in Yorksland. They all had big eyes and sexy bodies…
Devin: Sabrina!
Sabrina: Huh?
She was stunned momentarily as Devin suddenly changed his tone.
What’s with him? Did I say something wrong?
Even till now, she did not realize it was inappropriate to discuss others’ looks without consent.
Devin: You shouldn’t comment on others’ looks like that. We can’t choose how we look, can we? Even if what you say might be true, people might get hurt if they hear it.
Sabrina was rendered speechless by that.
Did I say she looked ugly just now? That’s not what I meant, though.
As a matter of fact, she did not mean to define Tillie as ugly. It was just that the latter made her remember what Edmund disagreed on.
Plus, she had met those two women who used to fight over Devin.
So, was I really wrong to do that?
Sabrina: Fine. It’s my fault. I won’t say things like this anymore in the future.
Devin: Okay, that’s my girl. Please rest earlier. And please don’t go to the bar if possible. Sasha had instructed Uncle Roderick to contact her should anything happen. Your priority now is your baby.
Devin’s heart melted upon seeing Sabrina being so obedient.
I know she didn’t have any bad intentions. She is just used to speaking her mind straight because that was how she grew up. After all, she is the daughter of the Hayes family, a famous family in Avenport.
Sabrina had a good night sleep that day.
The following day, she listened to Devin and did not go to the bar again.
However, around the afternoon, someone came to Red Pavilion to look for her.
“Hello, may I ask if Mrs. Jadeson is in?”
“Yes, she is.”
The housemaid at Red Pavilion saw the woman and immediately invited her in.
Sabrina, who was playing with her daughter, heard the noise and came out to check.
“Mrs. Cooper? Why are you here?” She was left bewildered as she saw the young lady waiting outside for her.
It turned out it was Edmund’s new wife, Tillie.
Tillie immediately displayed a shy and nervous smile upon seeing Sabrina.
“Well… I-I come here to learn makeup from you. I was at the bar, and I heard you won’t be there today. So I made my own decision to come to find you. You won’t be mad, will you?”
“Of course not!”
Sabrina agreed to it without hesitation.
After getting advised by Devin the previous night, Sabrina had realized her mistake. Seeing that Tillie came to find her, she knew the former was not angry with her.
With that, she was grateful.
Without delay, she took out all her cosmetics.
She also grabbed some new expensive skincare products, intending to give them to Tillie.
