Chapter 1501 No Longer A Kid
Eventually, due to insufficient evidence, the cops had no choice but to drop all charges against Kurt.
A moment later, Sebastian came out from the school.
Edmund’s friend had been waiting for him outside. After seeing him come out, the former immediately asked, “How was it? Mr. Hayes, did they give you a hard time?”
“Nope,” Sebastian replied in a composed manner.
He did not bother to tell the whole story.
Soon, he arrived at the student dorm to check on his wife and his daughter. When he saw Kurt locked up in the dorm, his expression turned solemn.
“I think it is better for you to go back to SteelFort for the time being. You’re still too young.”
Kurt, who did not show many emotions throughout these three days, lifted his head and stared at Sebastian. He was slightly startled by the latter’s words.
At that instant, his face went paper white.
Finally, there was a trace of panic appearing on his pretty face.
In the end, his expression turned utterly despondent.
“Uncle Sebastian, I know I’ve acted too harshly this time. I should have controlled myself. Uncle Sebastian, I won’t do it again in the future.”
Kurt, who used to be cold-hearted, began pleading with Sebastian to let him stay in this school.
However, Sebastian did not intend to give in to him.
Sebastian sat down on the bed behind him and cast a composed look at Kurt.
“No, I think you didn’t lose control, but you did it deliberately. You didn’t want Elaine to stay here all this while, did you? Kurt, I’ve told you that Vivian came here to fulfill her dream. After this incident, be it her mood or the school’s atmosphere, everything will be different. Do you think she will still be able to learn peacefully here?”
Kurt went silent completely.
He lowered his head as though the secret deep down in his heart had gotten exposed. He clenched his fists tightly. The color drained from his face.
To Sebastian’s befuddlement, tears began to brim within Kurt’s eyes.
After seeing that, Sebastian’s heart melted.
He is only ten years old, after all. I shouldn’t be too hard on him.
“I have no other intention. It’s just that your age is still young. You’re still immature in handling stuff like this. So, I suggest you spend a few more years in SteelFort and let Karl educate you properly.”
With that, Kurt remained silent until the end.
Sebastian, who had finished settling everything, got ready to take Sasha and Kurt away from the school two hours later.
However, just when they walked past the school entrance, Vivian suddenly ran out, crying fiercely.
“Daddy, please stop. Let Kurt go. Please don’t take him away. Daddy…”
She bawled her eyes out desperately.
Before leaving, Sebastian had arranged for her bodyguard back in Miralaea to keep her company.
However, after she learned that Kurt was leaving, she could not accept it.
Sasha’s heart twitched in pain as she saw Vivian crying in the rear mirror.
“Please stop. Vivian is chasing us. Sebby, please stop the car!”
Sebastian had no choice but to hit the brake.
Right after he stopped his car, Vivian caught up with their pace. She opened the car door abruptly and scanned inside the car.
Without hesitation, she reached her chubby hand and grabbed Kurt, who was staring at her in awe.
“Kurt, please come out now! Hurry. You’re not going anywhere without me. Please stay here with me.”
Tears kept rolling down her cheeks and dropped on Kurt’s hand, making the latter’s heart twitch in devastation.
With that, his eyes turned red as well.
Sasha and Sebastian were rendered speechless by that emotional scene.
They had always known that their daughter was a girl with a strong sense of friendship.
That was why Elaine would want to follow her no matter where she went. And now, it was because of her too that Kurt was willing to make sacrifices and comply with Sebastian’s request.
Of course, she would not allow Kurt to make such a sacrifice for her.
“Mommy, I’m begging you. Please let Kurt stay, all right? It was not his fault but mine. I shouldn’t have offended Helena. I’m so sorry. Could you guys please let Kurt go?”
“Vivi…”
Sasha could not suppress the dull pain in her heart.
Upon seeing that scene, Sebastian was not any better.
