Chapter 1499 Real Hardcore
It was the first time Sasha observed that little boy closely.
To her slight bewilderment, she discovered that he did not show any panic despite being locked up behind the glass window.
Those black eyes of his were staring intently at her.
There was guilt and nervousness in his gaze, but there was no trace of panic.
A moment later, Sasha stood up and walked over to the glass window.
“Kurt, don’t be afraid. Uncle Sebastian and I are here. We won’t let anything happen to you.”
The boy inside the glass window immediately nodded his head obediently upon hearing that.
However, he still did not utter a word.
He reminded Sasha of her eldest son, Ian. At that instance, her heart twitched in pain as she reached out from the window and touched the little boy’s head.
Ian is a quiet boy as well. But he is much luckier than this boy. Even though I wasn’t by his side since he was young, he still got his father. And after I came back, we’ve been raising him with full care. But what about this boy? He came from an impoverished place in Smallpoint. No one could imagine what his childhood was like.
Sasha cast another compassionate glance at him, deciding to stay.
Meanwhile, after Sebastian arrived at the school, he immediately approached the school’s chief administrator.
“Are you really Vivian’s father?”
The chief administrator found it hard to believe that an ordinary girl in their school had such a powerful background.
Sebastian crossed his legs in his seat and uttered indifferently, “Why? Do you want to see her birth certificate?”
“N-No… There’s no need for you to do that.” The chief administrator immediately rejected. His attitude was much more intimidated than when Edmund’s friend came.
Now that I’ve revealed my identity, it is time to get on with business.
Yet, when he was about to touch on the matter, the chief administrator had already cut to the chase. “Mr. Hayes, about this case. We have evidence that Kurt was the one who did it on Halloween.”
“Is it? Please show it to me.”
Sebastian did not show any anger as he requested nicely to look at the evidence.
However, the chief administrator was not that cooperative after hearing Sebastian’s request.
“Mr. Hayes, the cops have taken away the evidence. Plus, I’m sure they’ve collected their evidence as well. You can go to the police station if you want to see them.”
The cops?
Sebastian displayed a cold smile. “He’s just ten years old, yet you handed him to the cops before his family arrived. Is that how your school handles things?”
“I…”
“I don’t mind going to the police station. But are you sure you want that? If I go and find out the case is not like what you said, it might be the end for your school.”
Sebastian sat there relaxingly while lighting up a cigarette.
But as he spat out the last sentence, the friend beside him knew he was not joking. It had been a long while since he gave a threat like this.
If the school doesn’t fulfill his request, it would be the biggest mistake they’ve ever made!
Initially, the chief administrator still did not take the threat seriously. Yet, a moment later, someone came in and whispered in his ears, “Sir Goldin is not yet here. It has been twenty minutes since we made the call.”
The chief administrator was dumbstruck after hearing that.
He cast a glance at Sebastian and picked up the phone cowardly.
Sir Goldin was the backer of the school, and he had the status of the royals. The chief administrator could not comprehend why the former had not arrived twenty minutes even after they contacted him.
As such, he could not help but reconsider the importance of the two men in front of him.
To his relief, the cops came in no time after receiving his call.
Sebastian did not bother the chief administrator anymore, as he started dealing with the cops.
First of all, it’s the evidence, of course.
“Mr. Hayes, this is the footage for the incident on Halloween. Please have a look.”
The cops showed full cooperation compared to the chief administrator, taking out the footage without delay.
Sebastian sat in his seat and began watching the footage with full attention.
The beginning of the footage showed the celebration scene of the teachers and the students of the entire school. That was the spot where the accident occurred. At that point, Sebastian spotted his little princess wearing the costume of Snow White.
She was holding Kurt’s hand, both of them walking happily. The latter was dressed as a prince.
“Mr. Hayes, please pay attention here. It’s about to happen.” The cops reminded as the footage continued to play.
With that, Sebastian locked his eyes on the screen attentively.
Around two minutes later, they saw Vivian and Kurt arriving at the square. Just then, another girl, wearing a diamond crown and a luxurious dress, showed up.
She was escorted by many bodyguards, like a queen on tour. As soon as she arrived, everyone on the spot made way for her.
However, Vivian was the only one who stood still at her spot, without any intention to move.
Indeed. Why should my daughter make way for others?
Sebastian was still watching the footage, his face devoid of expression.
