“What do you mean? What does this have to do with the Durant family? Stop making things up!”
Sebastian asked in a callous tone, “Are you sure you’re not aware of the things I’m talking about as the sole successor of the Durant family, Felicity?”
In order to stop the woman from going berserk, he started emanating an intimidating presence to keep her in check.
Silence fell once again as the rest in the office, including Grayson, wondered if they had been hearing things when Sebastian repeated himself for another time.
Hasn’t the woman by the name of Felicity from the Durant family passed on two decades ago?
She was Alfred’s girlfriend! She paid me a visit when she was pregnant! However, she disappeared into thin air out of the blue! When Janice found her, she told the rest Felicity was dead!
Just what the heck is going on? Why has she shown up in the hospital as a visiting physician for so many years?
The woman had no intention to confess just yet. She yelled, “Stop making things up! You’re merely trying to hold me accountable for the things someone else has done! I’m Helen!”
Sebastian sneered and beckoned Devin to show her hands to the rest in the office.
“See? Although you’re a doctor, as a member of the Durant family, the way you carry yourself as a doctor is different from the rest! It’s the same for Janice!”
When everyone turned around and looked at the hand of the experienced surgeon, her delicate-looking hand surprised them.
Usually, there would be wrinkles all over the hands of an experienced surgeon, but that wasn’t the case for Helen.
The equally experienced Grayson muttered to himself, “How is that possible? Just look at my hands!”
It was then Sebastian announced, “It’s one of the special techniques of the Durant family! They’re able to conduct surgical operations using just one hand! Therefore, only one of her hands is affected!”
Once again, silence fell in the office as colors started draining from the face of the woman. She stammered, “S-Since when have you figured out my actual identity? Weren’t you at Golden Heights in the morning?”
“You shouldn’t have sent your men to go after us! When he showed up, I saw the name of Juliet in the official record of the Limmer family!”
Juliet?
When Sebastian brought up someone else out of the blue, the rest in the room felt confused all over again.
Devin turned around and asked with his brows arched in confusion, “How is this person related to whatever’s going on?”
“Juliet is Eddie’s aunt! She was married to someone from Xenhall! In other words, she’s also the aunt of Janice and Felicity! You know Eddie’s going to do everything it takes to make the most out of his pawns, don’t you? Do you think he’s going to leave the famous Durant family alone when they’re quite influential in Xenhall?”
The woman with a pale and haggard look closed her eyes as she knew it was over for her.
She was none other than the woman others thought had passed on two decades ago.
When the pregnant woman showed up at Jadeborough, Alfred dismissed her after rising to power.
He took her into custody against her will because he was afraid she would leverage on his successor to bring upon his downfall in the future.
Initially, she thought of returning to Xenhall immediately after delivering her child. To her surprise, the man sent someone to take her son away from her.
As a result, she thought it was time to put an end to her miserable life and tried committing suicide. However, someone rushed to her rescue in the nick of time and brought her back to life.
“Was it Eddie or your idea to send your son to the Sheerwood family?”
She guffawed and announced with a vicious smirk, “It was mine! It was one of my attempts to get my revenge against the shameless man! I want him to feel the pain and sorrow of having his son bringing upon his undoing!”
The woman was no longer in her right mind. She swapped Isaac, her biological son, with others just to get her revenge.
It wasn’t much of a surprise to figure out the maniac was the one bringing upon the demise of the Durant family, including Janice and Kingston.
Sebastian warned her, “You’re going to bear the consequences of your actions in the near future!”
Scowling, the vicious woman turned around and asked, “Oh? What about you, Sebastian? Isn’t your wife on the verge of dying as well? Are you aware she has miscarried? I’m the one who made her pregnancy a success because it’s going to take a toll on her system!”
Grayson’s eyes widened in disbelief. He thought of rushing over to stop her from provoking Sebastian, but he was too late.
The young man next to her had reached her, asking at the top of his lungs, “Come again? What have you done?”
“Can’t you hear me? Aren’t you aware she was never pregnant? She’s merely the vessel of my experiment! The thing inside her was the outcome of my hard work! I’ve always wondered if it’s going to turn out fine! To my surprise, it turns out just fine!”
Unable to keep his cool any longer, he yelled, “To h*ll you go!”
He took over the gun of the armed forces next to him and took aim at the woman in front of him.
