Putting down the report, Sasha did not ask further.
In the following months, she stayed at Oceanic Estate. Sebastian rarely went out as well. It seemed like he wanted to keep her company throughout the entire pregnancy until the baby was born.
She was not worried about the chaos going on outside because she believed Sebastian must have made necessary arrangements.
Two months later, Sasha’s pregnancy had progressed to its third month.
“Darling, your dad and uncle want to visit us. Do you want them to come?”
“What? Can they come?”
Lying on a chair at the observation tower while eating fruit, Sasha sat up as soon as she heard him. Her eyes were gleaming brightly.
Right then, she felt a cramp in her belly.
She was stunned for a few seconds.
“Darling?”
Sebastian was peeling some fruit. Her sudden silence made him tilt his head to glance at her.
Sasha paused briefly, wanting to say something. Touching her belly, she found it perfectly fine, as if the cramp just now was only an illusion.
Perhaps it was just my imagination.
Sasha regained her composure. “Yeah. When are they coming? Can we really bring them here now?”
“Sure, don’t worry. As long as you’re happy, they can even stay here,” the man consoled her calmly.
Since he’s alright with it, I have nothing to worry about.
Sasha was beaming with joy.
Sebastian was indeed efficient. Two days later, Rufus, Jackson, and his wife were brought over to Oceanic Estate.
“Dad, Uncle Jackson, Aunt Sharon, I’m so glad to see you!”
Meeting her family after such a long time, she launched herself into her father’s arms with red-rimmed eyes.
Rufus’ eyes misted over as well.
However, he held himself back and only patted her shoulders because there were many people around them at this unfamiliar place.

Sasha let him go bashfully.
That night, they had a feast at Oceanic Estate, chattering away merrily. The dinner went on for hours.
Feeling fatigued because of her pregnancy, Sasha went upstairs to her room with Sharon after dinner.
“I can tell that you’re having a good life here. I’m happy for you.”
After exploring Oceanic Estate, Sharon noticed everyone treated Sasha well. A look of relief appeared on her face.
At her words, a wave of warm, fuzzy feeling washed over Sasha.
“Aunt Sharon, I’m sorry for making you worried previously.”
“What is there to worry about? As long as your husband is around, everything will be fine. Now that you’re pregnant, you must take great care of yourself, so he won’t be worried, alright?” Sharon reminded her.
Judging from her words about Sebastian, the woman was shrewd and sharp-witted.
Nevertheless, she seemed a little downhearted after speaking, as she was reminded that her daughter passed away because of Sebastian.
“Aunt Sharon, what are you thinking about?”
“Nothing. By the way, I’ve brought you a gift. It has been passed down for generations of the Blackwood family .”
With that, she fished out an item wrapped in a yellow towel.
Sasha’s curiosity was piqued.

Meanwhile, Sharon had unwrapped it. On the yellow towel lay a long needle with a red stone at its tip.
“What’s this?”
“It’s a bloodstone from the nineteenth century. Have you heard of it?”
Sharon held it in her hand and pointed at a few words engraved on the item.
A bloodstone?
Sasha’s mouth hung open in disbelief.
Of course she had heard of it. Dr. Kaye told her there was an incredibly accurate method to detect poisons in the olden days using a bloodstone and a needle.
As soon as the needle was inserted into a human body, it could detect whether the person had been poisoned in no time.
Unfortunately, this technique was lost in history.
