The room fell silent again.
But this time, it wasn’t Sir Chen’s doing. Instead, it was the kid that had surprised everyone.
“Wow, you’re really smart,” Ouyang Qing’s assistant praised Dabao awkwardly.
“Even if you flatter me, it doesn’t change the fact that I know it was you who framed Mommy. I hate you,” Dabao affirmed.
“That’s right. I hate you too! I hate anyone that tries to harm Mommy.” Erbao backed her brother up immediately.
“No, I didn’t,” the assistant frantically denied as she looked towards Ouyang Qing.
However, Ouyang Qing didn’t return her look as she herself was in a panic.
Neither of them had expected a child to reveal their scheme.
She knew that the children were really smart as she had seen them demonstrate it previously. Even then, their capabilities were way beyond her expectations.
It was a huge mistake to have underestimated the children.
“Ms. Qing, is she your subordinate? Why does she keep looking at you?” Dabao blurted out of a sudden.
Hearing that, Ouyang Qing freaked out for real this time.
In normal times, Dabao seldom spoke, unlike ordinary children.
However, he suddenly had a lot to say today.
It wasn’t that he didn’t know how to talk; he was just not interested in idle chatter. However, he would still say something whenever it was necessary to do so.

Ouyang Qing’s answer was muddled as she wasn’t even sure which question she wanted to address first.
She wondered if she should first deny her assistant was acting upon her orders or if she should explain to Erbao why she couldn’t answer.
“Is she one of yours?” Dabao persisted.
“Dabao, watch your tone,” Ning Ran reminded him.
Ning Ran was just pretending to keep Dabao in check. Her heart was actually screaming in joy when her son and daughter stood up for her. I’m the luckiest mother in the world!
Dabao obeyed his mother and rephrased his question, “Ms. Qing, may I know if she is one of yours?”
Despite asking the same question, Dabao’s tone was a lot more gentle.
“She is my assistant,” Ouyang answered reluctantly.
“That means she has to obey your instructions?” Dabao cornered her.
Ouyang Qing could no longer hold him back.
This child is too smart! Where did he even come from?
All Ouyang Qing wanted to do was to scream for help at that moment.
“Not entirely. She does disobey me sometimes,” Ouyang Qing frantically defended herself.
“In that case, should I question you about this matter or her?” Dabao continued to shoot her with questions.
“Of course you have to ask her as I don’t know anything. My computer skills are terrible,” Ouyang Qing replied in a self-deprecating manner.
The moment computer skills were brought up, it struck a nerve with Sir Chen, whose expression became awkward.
He just couldn’t shake the feeling that they were talking about him.
“I know what to do.” Dabao jumped off the chair and returned it to Wang Xiaoou. After which, he motioned her to sit.
Despite just being a child, his actions were chivalrous and demonstrated his potential for great success in the future.
“Why did you frame my Mommy?” Dabao interrogated the assistant.
The assistant hastily denied, “I didn’t. I absolutely didn’t!”
“The file only appeared after you did something to it, yes or no?” Dabao questioned.
“I…”
“Yes or no?” Dabao didn’t even allow her the chance to explain.
“Yes.”
“That would mean that you know how to unlock the second layer of security. Can you then explain why didn’t you share it with everyone else in this room? You hid it from them on purpose so that they assumed that it was Mommy who leaked the script. That is your real objective, so how dare you still deny that you didn’t frame Mommy?”
Dabao raised his head and glared fiercely at the assistant.
The next moment, Nan Chen’s razor-sharp gaze fell upon her. Lost for words, the assistant’s knees buckled as she turned towards Ouyang Qing.
“Why are you looking at me? I wasn’t aware of what you did, so don’t implicate me unnecessarily, alright?” Ouyang Qing snapped.
It was obvious that Ouyang Qing was trying to save her own skin by distancing herself from her assistant.
“I didn’t,” the assistant pleaded in despair.
Her boss had made her stand clear. She was by no means to drag Ouyang Qing along with her. Or else, she would lose her job.
At that moment, the assistant understood that she had to sacrifice herself to protect her boss.
“I had no intention of framing Ms. Ding. I, too, stumbled upon the second layer of security,” the assistant tried to deflect the accusation away.
When it appeared that her assistant was prepared to shoulder the blame, Ouyang Qing heaved a sigh of relief. She was glad that her assistant made the sensible choice.
“Since you obviously knew about the extra layer of security and wasn’t being truthful about it, that’s the same as framing Mommy on purpose. It doesn’t matter if you admit it or not as the facts speak for themselves. Besides, Mommy didn’t see the contents in the USB drive, so it’s impossible for her to be the one to leak it. Every single word that came out of Dabao’s mouth was sharp and crisp. The more he spoke, the more gravitas he emitted.
Watching Dabao handle the situation, Nan Chen felt extraordinarily proud. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree!
“I didn’t. I really didn’t!” the assistant meekly denied.
“Miss, there’s nothing between us, so why are you doing this to me? Why are you sabotaging me?” Ning Ran asked.
“I really didn’t sabotage anyone… I didn’t leak it!”

“Because he has something on me. If I expose him or disobey him, he will punish me…”
The assistant was also great at acting. Actual tears rolled down her cheeks as she put on a devastated expression.
Those that serve Ouyang Qing were all great at faking it. Or else, there was no way they could last by her side for too long.
“Tell us, who is it? Stop keeping us in suspense!”
“That’s right, spit it out quick! Who ordered you to do it?”
Meanwhile, all the investors and their representatives peppered her with questions. They felt as if they were watching an engaging drama and were simply thrilled.
