Always Been Yours Chapter 630

Chapter 630 Jealousy and Determination

Yet, no matter what she said, Nicholas was still as emotionless as ever, which highly frustrated her.

Does this mean that all our experiences of life of death are inferior to a woman he had barely known for a year?

Sadly, Nicholas couldn’t hear her inner thoughts. Even if he did, he probably wouldn’t care.

After he sat around for a while, he saw that he had visited the appropriate amount of time, so he excused himself.

“I have some things I need to deal with. I’ll visit you another day.”

Janet’s face turned gloomy as she watched the man disappear from her ward without hesitation.

She gripped the sheets tightly as if she were about to rip them apart.

Why, why did things turn out like this?

She couldn’t accept Nicholas giving his love to another person.

His affections should have been mine!

So, she ground her teeth as she growled, “Tessa Reinhart, how dare you take away what’s mine? Who gave you the right to do so?!”

At the villa in Vienna, Tessa repeatedly sneezed as she sat on the bed.

“Strange. Who is cursing me behind my back?” She mumbled.

Then her phone rang; when she scrambled for it, she saw that the caller was Hathaway.

“Tessa, why didn’t you come to the orchestra today? Did something happen?”

It turned out that since Tessa didn’t apply for leave and didn’t attend today’s practice session, it has made Hathaway worried for her usually diligent student.

Tessa reassured her when she noticed the concern in her teacher’s tone. “I’m fine. It’s just a small fever. I’m sorry for worrying you and forgetting to apply for a leave.”

But, she never thought that her words only caused Hathaway to fret even more.

“You have a fever? Is it serious? Did you go to the doctor?”

Before Tessa could reply, Hathway cut her off anxiously, “You know what, I’ll find you now. Send me your location.”

Then, she immediately hung up the phone after that.

Meanwhile, Tessa was touched by her teacher’s worry as she placed her phone aside.

She knew that her teacher doted on her a lot.

As she thought of that, she immediately sent her location to Hathaway.

On the other side, Hathaway had received the location and drove there using the GPS.

Kathleen was in the passenger seat as she accompanied her mother.

The moment she discovered that Tessa had fallen ill, she tagged along with fake intentions.

They didn’t take long to reach the villa Tessa had been staying in Vienna.

As soon as the two got out of the car, Kathleen looked at the luxurious manor before her with envy since not just anybody could afford a place like this here.

Tessa is lacking in every way compared to me. So, what gives her the right to live in such a lovely place?!

Hathaway did not know her daughter’s jealousy-fueled thoughts.

Similarly, she was also a bit shocked that Tessa was living in a place like this, but she came to terms with it after remembering Tessa’s mysterious fiancé.

Tessa immediately had the butler guide them to the living room when they arrived. Kylie did as ordered, as Hathaway and her daughter were promptly seated opposite Tessa.

A servant then placed a tray of coffee and fruits before leaving them to their privacy.

After Hathaway took a sip of the coffee, she asked Tessa about her condition.

“How are you feeling now?”

“I’ve taken my medicine, so I feel much better now. So, you don’t need to be so concerned, teacher,” Tessa smiled and replied.

On the other hand, Kathleen was not paying any attention to their conversation.

As she scrutinized the lavish decor, she couldn’t help but mutter petulantly, “Your fiancé really does treat you so well, Tessa. You’ve struck the jackpot by being with him. Even if you don’t work, you would never have to worry about your expenses.”

Her words made Tessa frown as she thought Kathleen’s comment was inappropriate.

“A person’s value should be determined and created by oneself instead of relying on your significant other.”

Even as she spoke, the smile on her face was less genuine than before.

Kathleen pouted as she rebuked, “That sounds nice and all, but didn’t you get with Mr. Sawyer because of his money?”

“Only useless people would think of leeching off others. If I really wanted money, I could earn it by myself too,” Tessa retorted back with an austere expression that made Kathleen’s face turn rather unsightly for polite company.

She thought that Tessa was secretly hinting that she was useless.

But, before she could open her mouth, Tessa voiced again, “Besides, with my fiancé being such a talented person, if I wasn’t outstanding enough, how can I match up to him? I would feel pressured just by standing next to him.”
