“I don’t know about the others. But the Phoenix Regiment is definitely going to fight for a share of the Whitaker family’s properties. To be honest with you, I have already gotten two real estate agencies of the Whitaker family.” Phoenix displayed a cold smile.
“Phoenix, this is preposterous…”
Upon hearing that, Zachariah slammed the table wrathfully, his gaze filled with hostility.

Phoenix showed no weakness at all.

He was beyond exasperated. He would not give up a single property of the Whitaker family. After all, he still needed the money to buy the herbs needed for Crescent Sect.

Phoenix showed no sign of being intimidated and with a harrumphed, she left too.
In the end, Luke was the only one left. He let out a helpless sigh and waved toward the crowd. “All right. The conference is now dismissed…”
The Warriors Alliance Conference only lasted less than ten minutes and ended on a tense note. Even though many martial arts families were not satisfied with the outcome, they were fully aware of their strengths. With that, they had no choice but to keep silent.

Jared sat at the dining table, where Lizbeth had prepared a table full of dishes. For the past two days, Lizbeth did not allow Jared to go out because she was worried that the Jantz family might come for him. Yet, to her bewilderment, the Jantz family did not make a move. In fact, they seemed to have forgotten all about Jared.
When Lizbeth was done preparing the meal and was just about to sit down to eat, the doorbell rang.
Her heart skipped a beat at that. Fear overwhelmed her instantly as she thought of the Jantz family.
“Let me get it…”
Noticing Lizbeth’s stiff expression, Jared stood up and was about to walk to the door.
However, Lizbeth stopped him and told him to sit down before she headed toward the door cautiously. “Sit down. I’ll get it…”
The moment she opened the door, she was stunned by the sight that greeted her. “Josephine? Why are you here in Summerbank?”
Josephine was standing outside with some fruits in her hands.
“I got worried about Jared, so I came!”
Josephine smiled faintly.
“Josephine…”
Hearing her voice, Jared ran to the door excitedly. He felt utterly touched when he saw her.
“Jared…”
Josephine jumped into Jared’s arms.
During these few days, Josephine had been worrying herself sick in Horington. After all, Summerbank was not as safe as Horington.
Seeing Jared and Josephine’s intimate action, Lizbeth stumbled backward, suddenly unsure of what to do.
“It smells nice. Did Lizbeth cook?”
Josephine stared at the table full of dishes.
“Yes, she can cook well. I’ve been eating her dish these two days.”
