I wonder how great it feels to be her…. Amidst her jumbled thoughts, Wanda walked up to the couple. “Nicholas, Miss Reinhart. What brings you here?”
Tessa smiled faintly. “I haven’t been eating well for the past two days, so Nicholas is accompanying me for a check-up.”
Wanda nodded and was envious at the same time. She desired to have a company like this too. The clueless Tessa asked out of courtesy, “You don’t look well, Miss Muller. Are you feeling sick?”
“Kinda.” Wanda did not say much. At that moment, the doctor called for her. She nodded at the couple before entering the room. “Since when have you started vomiting?”
inquired the doctor. “Last night, after having a few glasses.” She gave a succinct answer.
The doctor nodded and began to feel her pulse. A couple of moments later, his brows furrowed as he hesitated. “Miss Muller, I think you should visit the gynecology unit.”
“The gynecology unit? Why? She looked at him because she could not follow.
“I suspect it’s a sign of pregnancy. You should go to the gynecology unit to make sure of it,” he explained. “No, no! That’s impossible!” She could not accept it. How can I be pregnant?
At the same time, Tessa and Nicholas heard the doctor’s words from the outside. She was surprised. “That guy from the Hadfield Family
must be the baby’s father.”
“Judging from the timing, it should be him.” He nodded. She blinked her eyes. “I guess the marriage between the Mullers and Hadfields is set.”
“That’s hard to say.” He glanced at the woman in the office, knowing that she would not give in that easily. He held Tessa’s hand gently. “Let’s not be bothered by them. It’s none of our business.”
In the meantime, Wanda did not overhear their conversation as she felt her world crumbling. Sitting on the chair, she recalled the night she spent with Oliver. She could not believe that she was pregnant.
With Oliver’s baby, at that! However, the doctor’s words reminded her that it was her reality.
“Oliver Hadfield!” She gritted her teeth in resentment. Furthermore, she blamed herself for forgetting such an outcome, which could hinder her plans.
“I don’t want this baby! Plan an operation for me right away!” She gazed at the doctor with fierce eyes. I will not keep this baby. I will never give birth to that b*stard’s baby!
Her vehement reaction caught the doctor off guard because he did not foresee her to be this decisive with her abortion. Nonetheless, he did not question further.
“Sure, but would you like to discuss it with your family first?” He looked at her hesitantly.
“No. I want the date at this instant.” Wanda refused without a second thought. If Horace caught the wind of it, she would lose the chance to abort the baby. He might even force her to get married!
I will never marry Oliver Hadfield! Not even in hell!
The doctor did not dissuade the perturbed woman anymore. “The schedule is full today. If you’ve made up your mind, there is a slot tomorrow. Besides, you must undergo several check-ups before we are certain there’s no problem with an operation.”
“Why so troublesome?” Her brows knitted together because she wished to save herself trouble by having it today. He did not answer that, but she did not mind it. “Can’t you make an exception?”
“I’m afraid no.” He shook his head, and she was downcast upon the disappointment. “I’ll have it tomorrow, then. You may proceed with the procedures. She raised the white flag at long last.
