Chapter 934 Bitten To Death
The only thing that could be seen was the white wolf fighting the Heaven Devouring Beast endlessly. The latter was much bigger, but the former was more agile, allowing it to escape all attacks.
“Snowy, if you kill that big lug, I will reward you with this pearl.”
Josephine fished a shiny pearl out of her possession as she shouted at the white wolf.
The white wolf howled in excitement when it saw the shiny pearl. It jumped immediately after and mercilessly bit into the Heaven Devouring Beast’s neck, tearing a huge chunk of its meat out.
The Heaven Devouring Beast roared in pain. It kept swinging its claws trying to kill the white wolf with its slaps. Unfortunately, the white wolf’s physical form was like an eel. It circled around the Heaven Devouring Beast, making it impossible for the latter to land an attack.
The white wolf bid its time and eventually found the opportunity to attack once more. Its teeth dug into the Heaven Devouring Beast’s neck again, but this time, the white wolf held on. It refused to let go, no matter what.
The Heaven Devouring Beast rolled around on the ground. It wanted to break free of the white wolf’s hold, but all of its efforts were in vain.
A few minutes later, the enormous Heaven Devouring Beast fell. The white wolf had bitten it to death.
“H-How…?”
Ichiro’s jaw dropped, and he was stunned into place.
A white wolf killed the enormous Heaven Devouring Beast… It was simply too ridiculous.
“Great job, Snowy.”
Josephine tossed the pearl while smiling. The white wolf jumped and caught it in its mouth right away. After that, he ran to Jared and used its head to push Jared a little.
Jared couched down to caress the white wolf’s head. The animal reacted by dropping the pearl into his hand.
Jared stared at Josephine in astonishment. He didn’t know what the white wolf was doing.
“This is the Luminous Pearl for your competition, and Snowy wants to help you win.”
Jared didn’t know what was going on until Josephine explained everything to him. Ah, so this is the Luminous Pearl we have been looking for all this time.
He was so happy that he hugged the white wolf tightly. This white wolf is so smart, and it is the best companion there is.
Just then, Ichiro turned around to run.
“Where do you think you’re going?”
Andrew zipped over.
Jared scoffed when he noticed what was going on as well. He moved Ichiro in a blink of an eye.
The white wolf was right behind him, and to everyone’s surprise, it kept up with the guy despite the intense fight it just had.
At the time, Ichiro was staring fearfully at Jared. “What do you guys want? I-I admit defeat, okay? I’ll drop out of this competition.”
It was really ridiculous that Ichiro still acted as though they were in the arena. He admitted defeat as if that would save his life.
“It doesn’t matter if you admit defeat. I will still kill you,” announced Jared while having a stoic expression on.
“N-No. You can’t kill me. I am a member of the Watanabe family. You know about that family, so you must be aware of the consequences of killing me.”
Ichiro changed his tactic and threatened Jared upon realizing that the latter would not let him go.
“I don’t freaking care about any of that.”
After saying that, Jared reached out and grabbed Ichiro. He initiated the Focus Technique right away and absorbed Ichiro’s martial energy as quickly and as intensely as he could.
Ichiro began screaming in agony. His entire body trembled as his martial energy slipped out of him.
It only took a few minutes for Ichiro to turn into a dried-up corpse.
Andrew witnessed everything. He was going to say something about it, but he changed his mind later.
After killing Ichiro, Jared extracted the beast core from the Heaven Devouring Beast. Everyone started to travel back via the very same route they used earlier.
It wasn’t until they were on the road did Jared realize that Rayleigh had brought Josephine and the others to that island to help them cultivate. They remained hidden on the island until Ichiro snuck his men onto the island. They discovered those men’s plan to ambush Jared, so they changed their own plans and came out of hiding.
Rayleigh had already learned all about how Jared was participating in the tournament in the Department of Justice’s place. He was also aware of how the Warriors Alliance and the Deragon residence voiced up for Jared. It seemed that even though he had been on the island the entire time, he still paid attention to the news about Jared.
