Chapter 692 Alchemy
“Lyanna, bring this man to me. Remember not to kill him, as I want him alive.”
Poison King showed Lyanna the picture of Jared on his phone.
After taking a glance, she nodded. “I got it.”
With that, she got to her feet and left.
“The five of you should get busy too. Go and prepare the poisonous creatures required for crafting a cadaver king. Soon, Mapleton will be able to dominate the southwest region!” Poison King declared with a sparkle in his eye.
“Poison King, since Jared is immune to most poisons, wouldn’t it be risky to send Lyanna to capture him?” Weston asked curiously.
“Have you forgotten how stunningly beautiful she is? Furthermore, her Seduction Technique is not based on poison. As long as the target is a man, he wouldn’t be able to resist her charm.”
Poison King broke into hearty laughter.
Meanwhile, on the journey back to Jadeborough from Horington, Axton was resting in the back seat with his eyes closed. Donald, who was driving, would look into the rearview mirror occasionally to glance at him.
“Donald, whatever it is you want to say, just spit it out.”
Even though Axton’s eyes weren’t open, he could sense that Donald was sneaking glances at him.
“Mr. Knox, although Jared managed to kill Xander, was it necessary for you to show him such respect in front of so many martial artists? Wouldn’t it make the Medicine God Sect look bad?” Donald asked inquisitively.
Upon hearing Donald’s words, Axton opened his eyes and replied with a smile, “Donald, do you know what the ultimate technique of the Village of Villains is?”
“The Astral Attraction,” Donald replied without hesitation.
“That’s right. The Astral Attraction. I suspect that Jared is using it. Or else, it’s impossible for a Senior Grandmaster to have such strong levels of energy. Furthermore, right when Jared fell through the arena and everyone thought that he was done for, but he reappeared without a scratch. In fact, he was even stronger than before. Evidently, he had fallen beneath the arena on purpose and used the Astral Attraction technique to absorb Xander’s energy for his own use. Lastly, don’t you feel that it’s strange for Xander to turn into a bag of bones despite preparing to self-destruct?” Axton explained.
Donald was stunned by Axton’s words. “Mr. Knox, are you saying that Jared is a member of the Village of Villains?”
“I’m not sure, but he definitely is involved with them. That’s the reason why I want to get to know him better,” Axton plainly replied.
“No wonder Jared dared to challenge the Cooper family and look down upon the Medicine God Sect despite being a young Senior Grandmaster. Those terrifying elderly men at the village should be more than a hundred years old by now.” Donald was filled with envy.
Even though the few old men from the Village of Villains behaved in an unpredictable manner and used to kill without batting an eyelid, they were extremely skillful. All this while, many had attempted to join them as a disciple but none had ever succeeded.
Even though the same thought crossed Donald’s mind, he was held back by the fact that the Village of Villains consisted of a bunch of evildoers who were incompatible with his honorable reputation. Therefore, he had to bury the urge somewhere deep inside his heart. Nevertheless, the desire for power remained strong within him.
“If Jared is really connected to them, I hope to learn alchemy from him. Even though the Village of Villains is supposed to be evil, I can’t deny that their skills in alchemy and metalworks are top-notch.”
Axton always had a passion for alchemy. Unfortunately, he did not make any progress in his pill crafting techniques over the last few years. He had to use a total of forty-nine days to craft a high-tier pill. However, he heard that an alchemy master from the Village of Villains could do it with just a snap of his fingers. That was how apt they were.
Consequently, that was the reason why Axton treated Jared with so much respect. In fact, he didn’t mind lowering himself just so that he could learn from Jared the alchemy from the Village of Villains.
