Chapter 1279 Frightened
No one in the Norton family would be able to stop Jared. More and more comments were appearing on the martial arts forum. One commented: Jared’s unbelievable! He’s actually barging into the Norton residence all by himself, and he even frightened David away!
Another added: D*mn, he killed two of the Norton family’s Martial Arts Grandmasters with just one move. He’s a marvel! David must be scared. He was bluffing about how he was going to kill Jared a few days ago, but now, he’s getting proven wrong.
Jared must be a Martial Arts Marquis by now. You can see it from the move he made earlier. Numerous people were watching the livestream and commenting in the chatroom.
Just then, someone quietly removed a challenge post that had been pinned to the top. Nevertheless, someone quickly noticed it.
He commented: Hey, Jace’s challenge to Jared is gone. He must be scared.

I doubt anyone has anything to say even if Jared emerges as the top in Sage Leaderboard.

The people were mocking Jace and jealous of Jared.
However, Jared was not looking at the forum, and nor was he fazed by those things. He was only waiting for David to return.
Jared kept a close eye on the time. If he still doesn’t show up in an hour, I’ll keep my word and kill two Nortons.
In the meantime, David and Skylar were watching the martial arts forum. Upon seeing how Jared killed two Martial Arts Grandmasters with just one move without giving a chance for his victims to react, David grimaced.
He never thought that Jared’s power would have soared in mere few days. He was no longer on par with Jared.
Still, when he saw the derogatory comments toward him and the Norton family on the forum, he fumed.
Right then, the Norton family’s butler called David.
“Mr. Norton, Jared’s here, and he has killed two of us. He wants to see you right away, and he has said that he’ll keep killing two for every hour you’re not around!” the butler informed in a trembling voice.
“I’ve heard about it. Let him do that. I have something else to deal with first.”
With that, David ended the call.
He did not care that the Norton family’s servants were getting killed as long as he was fine.
“Dad, are we going to just watch Jared kill off everyone in the family?” Skylar asked.
“Aren’t I trying to think of a way? It’s best not to fight against Jared for now. If I lose, even if Jared doesn’t kill me, there are lots of sects and families who would make their move against our family. These people are hyenas who are waiting for us to fall.”
David did not want to fight against Jared because he was afraid that he would be defeated and hurt after the fight.
Even if Jared were to spare his life, the other sects and families would still take the opportunity to strike them.
After all, friendships did not exist in the face of profit.
“Why don’t we look for President Zeigler and have him chat with Jared as the head of the Warriors Alliance? We’ll give Jared anything he wants as long as he doesn’t target us anymore. As of now, Mr. Sanders was the only person Jared would listen to.
“But will Mr. Sanders agree to it? He has always been on Jared’s side,” Skylar pointed out.
“Let’s give it a try. I’m sure Mr. Sanders doesn’t want Jadeborough’s martial arts world to be in chaos either.”
With that, David hailed a cab to look for Mr. Sanders right away.
