Chapter 1278 Watching The Scene
The next morning, Jared went to the Norton residence. Lizbeth and the others wanted to tag along, but Jared convinced them not to. If they came along, not only would they not be of any help there, but they would also burden him.
Rayleigh, too, did not want the three young women to follow him there. In fact, he even brought the three of them back to Medicine God Sect so that Jared would not be distracted.
That way, the sects and the families would not get the chance to take them hostage and blackmail Jared. If that were to happen, Jared would lose control of the situation.
When Jared arrived at the Norton residence, he realized there was a crowd beside the Norton family’s mansion. Furthermore, some of them even readied their equipment to capture photos and film the scene.
It seemed they were there for the show, but Jared did not mind them at all.
After all, he had wanted people to know about the incident by posting on the martial arts forum.
However, despite the fact that the sun was high up in the sky, the doors of the Norton residence remained shut, and no one went in or came out of the residence.
Thus, Jared walked over to the door and took in a deep breath. Then, he roared, “David Norton, get out here right now! I’ve come to end your darn life!”
Jared’s roar was so thunderous some of the bystanders became dizzy. In fact, some weaker individuals actually passed out.
At that, the bystanders quickly retreated further in shock.
However, there was still no sound coming from the Norton residence after Jared’s shout.
Therefore, Jared stepped forward and sent the Norton residence’s door flying with a strike.
It was only then the Norton family’s butler rushed over with some servants.
None of the Nortons dared to make a sound at the sight of Jared’s ferocious demeanor.
The Norton family’s butler was the only one who dared to speak. Nevertheless, he was shaking all over as he said, “Mr. Norton is currently not at home. You’ve come at the wrong time.”
“He’s not in? I’d say he’s avoiding me!” Jared hissed.
“He really isn’t here. You can take a look yourself.”
With that, the butler gestured for the Nortons to open up a path for Jared.
Jared then strode into the Norton residence and began looking for David.
However, despite his thorough search, he did not find any signs of David. In fact, even Skylar was missing.
“He really isn’t in. He has gone out to deal with some matters,” the butler repeated.
“I’ll wait for him to come back, then.”
With that, Jared took a chair over and sat down by the doorway of the Norton residence.
He then glanced at the members of the Norton family and said to the two Martial Arts Grandmasters who had captured Lizbeth the night before, “The two of you, get me a cup of coffee.”
The two Martial Arts Grandmasters exchanged a look with each other before looking at the crowd outside. For a moment, they did not know whether or not they should heed Jared’s words.
After all, there were so many people watching and recording them. The two of them would be embarrassed to let the crowd see Jared lord over them.
Not only that, but they would be embarrassing the Norton family as well.
However, just as the two of them were hesitating, Jared shot out both of his hands.
A terrifying wave of spiritual energy rushed over like two hurricanes toward the two Norton family’s Martial Arts Grandmasters.
Neither of them had the chance to react to it before they were sent flying.
They then crashed onto the ground, retched blood, and died.
That scene stunned the people, for Jared had just ended the lives of two Martial Arts Grandmasters in seconds. He was scarily powerful.
“Get me a cup of coffee,” Jared demanded again.
This time, two other Norton family members hurried to pour a cup of coffee for Jared.
Jared then began sipping on his coffee while he waited for David to return.
In the meantime, an uproar had erupted in the martial arts forum—Jared’s visit to the Norton residence was already being broadcasted on the martial arts forum.
“Inform David that if he doesn’t return in an hour, I’ll kill two Nortons, and I’ll keep this up until I kill everyone in the Norton family,” Jared coldly uttered to the Norton family’s butler.
No one there would think that Jared was bluffing, for what Jared had done earlier had convinced the people that he had the power to act on his words.
