“Mr. Norton, don’t worry. As long as we bring Jared to the island, the Flame Dragon will definitely appear, for he is carrying the draconic essence of the Ice Dragon. Furthermore, the Flame Dragon is currently at its weakest. Once we kill it and obtain its draconic essence, we can proceed to kill Jared for the Ice Dragon essence. By amalgamating the two draconic essences, we will be able to manifest the Power of Dragons!
“Many prominent families underestimate the draconic essences and think they’re useless. Little do they know that one has to combine two pieces for it to work. Once you swallow the two draconic essences, I guarantee that you will instantly become the strongest Top Level Martial Arts Grandmaster out there!” Karl declared with a burning look in his eyes.
In response, Skylar was filled with excitement. “Haha, once I get my hands on the draconic essences and become a Top Level Martial Arts Grandmaster, I will reward the Gardner family with a place in Jadeborough.”
“Thank you, Mr. Norton!” Karl expressed his gratitude at once.
Even though Karl was the Baron of the Northwest, the region was extremely poor. Hence, he wasn’t highly regarded by the prominent families of other areas.
As a result, he intended to carve himself a place in Jadeborough through the Jadeborough martial arts world.
He planned to do so by finding Skylar and telling the latter about the secret of Dragon Island.
After all, he recognized that even if he didn’t reveal it, he wasn’t strong enough to obtain the draconic essences on his own.
Separately, Jared and Lizbeth were sharing a bottle of red wine inside the cruise ship’s bar.
The luxury cruise was equipped with all sorts of amenities. In fact, it was so opulent that it even had a swimming pool.
Unfortunately, Jared had no interest in them at all.
As the journey to Dragon Island took two days, Jared decided to spend some quality time with Lizbeth.
After all, no one could predict what was going to happen once they got there.
“Jared, have you forgotten your friends now that you have a girl by your side?”
Out of nowhere, Skylar and Karl came over and sat down opposite Jared.
The moment he did, Karl made a minute gesture with his finger and released a discreet aura into Jared’s bottle of wine.
Neither Jared nor Lizbeth noticed the action at all.
Jared glanced at Skylar and broke into a faint smile. “Do you want a glass?”
“I’m fine, thank you. Considering how well equipped the ship is and the beautiful scenery outside, isn’t it a waste for you to just sit there and sip wine?” Skylar commented with a grin.
“I don’t enjoy walking around.” Jared shook his head.
“In that case, we’ll not get in your way of chatting with this beauty.”
Skylar got to his feet and remarked, “Karl, let’s go.”
Watching the two leaving silhouettes, Lizbeth commented with a frown, “It’s obvious that those two men are up to no good, especially the one called Skylar. Behind that hypocritical face of his must be a mind full of schemes.”
Jared chuckled. “He might have his methods, but I have my countermeasures. Besides, I’m curious to know why they are taking me to Dragon Island.”
“Regardless of the reason, nothing good will come out of it. Thus, you have to watch yourself out there,” Lizbeth reminded with an anxious expression.
At that moment, Tommy came over and informed, “Mr. Chance, Ms. Grange, Mr. Grange has invited you over to join them.”
Surprised, Jared wondered what Walter wanted to see them for.
By the time they arrived at Walter’s room, the latter related excitedly, “Jared, have you heard? There’s going to be an auction on the ship selling antiques that have been recovered from the sea. As a result, I wanted to invite you to check it out together.”
As Walter was an avid antique collector, he was elated to learn that there was even an antique auction on the cruise.
“An auction, here?”
Jared was equally amazed. However, after giving it some thought, he felt that it wasn’t a surprise since they were on a luxury cruise. Holding an auction with so many wealthy passengers on board was certainly a brilliant way to make money.
